Thursday night review

Bones - I'm loving, LOVING this season of Bones! We are getting so much good teasing about Booth and Brennan and I just love it. I have a feeling that once (if) they ever get together, I'll probably be annoyed but for right now, I'm so enjoying it all. Last night, Gordon Gordon told Booth that he was in love with Brennan and Booth didn't deny it or try to act like he didn't know what he was talking about. I get the sense that Booth has known about his feelings for quite awhile and the coma just helped him to realize how true those feelings are. My only disappointment with the episode is that Wendell wasn't on - the thing between him and Angela was a surprise, but I think I'm going to like them together.

Fringe - I have to admit, I wasn't paying that close of attention to last night's episode so I'll have to rewatch tonight. From what I did catch, I thought Joshua Jackson did an awesome job.

Supernatural - Ummmm....I really like Chuck.

Supernatural: Jensen Ackles in Good God, Y'all

I hope everyone enjoyed last night's episode. I haven't read any reviews or comments about the episode, so I'm not sure what everyone is thinking. Personally, I loved it. I loved that Dean figured out on his own what was going on, as did Sam. To me, it shows that both boys are strong and able to hunt on their own. I also loved that the boys split up at the end. I know, I know - I'm sure there are a lot of people out there complaining about it, but it <b>had</b> to happen. No way could things go back to normal with them being together and hunting together. I would have been seriously disappointed if they would have stayed together. It will be very interesting to see how long this separation lasts, how they each cope on their own, and what finally brings them back together again.

I didn't have time to rewatch the episode last night, so I can't think of my favorite funny Jensen/Dean moment off the top of my head. I'm sure my favorite serious Jensen/Dean moment is pretty predictable - it was the end scene, with the guys sitting at the picnic table, deciding that they should part ways for now.

So, tell me what you thought!! =D

Supernatural: Jensen Ackles in Sympathy for the Devil

How exciting was it to have Supernatural back on again?!??! It was surreal to me....I still can't believe that we've gotten another installment to the story of these brothers. Jensen and Jared were in fine form last night and I really enjoyed everyone in the supporting cast as well. The new Meg was awesome, Bobby was fantastic, Castiel we had to wait to see but it was definitely worth the wait. I'm not sure if I'm going to like the guy playing Lucifer, but I'm waiting to see.

Anyway, since this is the Jensen blog, I suppose I should get onto that. :-P

My favorite funny Jensen moment was when he said that he had a GED. I just loved the delivery. I also love that we've found out about Dean's education background.

My favorite serious Jensen moment was the last scene. I spent the whole episode thinking that Dean was disappointed in Sam and such, but had no idea that his feelings were so deeply hurt by Sam's actions. I'm hoping that they'll be able to make amends of some sort...but not too quickly because what is Supernatural without some angst. My heart broke as Dean walked towards the Impala and Sam was left standing there, debating about what he should do....

I'm having a really hard time with this one...as it seems everyone is. Even though we kept hearing that the brothers would fight this season, I never really thought it would happen. Seriously. I never thought it would happen. I guess I was just naive and foolish. *sighs* But now that it has, I'm really interested in seeing where things go and how the brothers become brothers again. Because you know that will happen.

Anyway, I thought Jensen did a fabulous job last night...as usual. I should really re-read all my Jensen blogs because I'm sure I say that every week! LOL!

My favorite Jensen moment was his looks when Sam was in the panic room and detoxing. You could see on his face how much it hurt him to be causing Sam that much pain.

I really think Show is trying to kill me. Man, what an awesome show! I love being unspoiled and knowing nothing about the episodes!! I had no idea that we would get the back story on Castiel and I have to admit - I loved it! I loved learning about Jimmy and his life before he became a vessel. I have to admit - when his wife ended up being possessed, that completely surprised me! I did NOT see that coming.

Anyway, since this is the Jensen blog, I should probably talk about him, right? ;) Okie dokie. Jensen was fabulous, as usual. :-P My favorite Jensen moment was at the end, when he was in the car with Sam. He didn't rise to Sam's bait, he didn't fight with him, he didn't argue with him. He just looked so tired and defeated.

...it's been so long since I've actually wanted to talk about a NASCAR race. *flails* I've been frustrated with how poorly Junior has run this season and all the talk of Shrub (and other drivers I'm not going to mention), to the point that I've refused to watch ANY pre-race coverage (which I used to watch all Sunday morning until the race started).

I love Talladega. I always have and I always will...unless they change rules/set ups/whatever. If that happens, I won't be happy.

It was just awesome, AWESOME, seeing Junior running up front for most of the race. How long has it been since that happened? And not only that, it seemed like people were willing to work with Junior. For the past few years, it seemed that no one would work with him because he had once dominated the track, but FINALLY - he had some help and he had a good car. Good job, Tony Jr.

I would be a lot happier if he had won, but at this point, with the way his season has gone - I'm so happy he finished second. Not only that, he finished second to Brad, his protege. Unbelievable.

Supernatural: Jensen Ackles in Jump the Shark

All day yesterday, I was so excited about having a new show and being able to write my Jensen blog. I knew nothing (ok, a little bit since I was accidentally spoiled) about the episode and couldn't wait to have the show back.

But of course, the powers that be were conspiring against me. See, my viewing routine of new episodes of Supernatural include having a few beers and enjoying nachos. The evening started out as expected and as I wanted. Until....8:06 PM. 6 minutes into the new episode and my sister calls. At the exact same time, my brother-in-law calls my husband. *facepalm* So of course, we are so busy talking that we miss most of the episode.

While I wasn't happy, I was ok with it because I knew that I would be able to rewatch it right after Harper's Island. No problem, right? Yeah, not quite that easy. Just when I wanted to start my rewatch, my other sister calls. *facepalm* So after talking to her for awhile, Mr. Ocean and I are finally able to sit down and watch the episode. But of course I'm still texting and messenging on my awesome Blackberry to my awesome friends and not really paying attention.

Therefore, I have nothing for my Jensen blog. No favorite moments. Sorry, folks. But I would really enjoy it if you would still share your favorite Jensen moments from Jump the Shark. Then I'll know what to watch for tonight, when I stay away from the beer, turn off my phone, and actually pay attention to the episode.

Supernatural: Jensen Ackles in The Monster at the End of the Chapter

Oh wow, everyone - I loved, loved last night's episode! Just when I think Show can't get any better, it does!!!

I haven't had a chance to rewatch yet, but I think my favorite Jensen moment last night was when he was outside the hotel and asked for help. Castiel showing up and telling him - in a round about way - what he should do was just awesome.

One question - the guy that played the prophet (Chuck?) - WHERE have I seen him before?!?!?!? He looks so familiar, but I can't figure it out and it's driving me nuts!

Hey everyone! I loved, loved last night's episode, It's a Terrible Life!!! It was such a fun episode made even better because I got to watch it with panns and whimsywinx . :-D

That being said, my favorite Jensen moment was when Dean's manager (who turned out to be Zacariah) offered him the bonus and he turned it down. Dean has a destiny, whether he likes it or not, and that is for him to continue hunting and save the world.

And on a completely shallow note, this was my favorite Dean outfit:

Supernatural: Jensen Ackles in On The Head of a Pin

Wow. What a fantastic episode!!! We got so many answers - Sam is drinking demon blood in order to get stronger, Ruby does have ulterior motives, Castiel is having doubts, Uriel was working against them (I'm assuming the whole time), Angels can get bodies back that have been destroyed, only angels can kill angels, and Dean is the one that broke the first seal.

Best of all, Jensen was absolutely amazing throughout the episode. When he was torturing Alistair, chills went down my spine. When he was talking to Sam in the car on the way to meet Ruby, I just wanted Season 1 Dean back - confident, strong, so sure of himself and what he was doing. When he was getting beaten up by Alistair, I could feel his pain. When he was talking to Cas at the end, he broke my heart. Again. That was my favorite Jensen moment - with the single tear rolling down his face, you could feel how much pain he was in, knowing that he was the one that started everything.

Supernatural: Jensen Ackles in Death Takes a Holiday

As good as it is to have our show back, I'm just feeling...stumped. At a loss for words. Uninspired, perhaps. I'm not really sure. Hopefully, I'll feel better about Death Takes a Holiday after I chat with my flist about it and rewatch it this weekend. But for right now, there is not anything about it that really stood out and shouted, "That's it! That's my favorite Jensen moment!"

Don't get me wrong...I think he did a fabulous job - as usual - but I just can't find a moment that was my favorite.

So I'm turning to you, my flist, for assistance. Tell me your favorite Jensen moment, so I'll know what scenes to pay close attention to during my rewatch.

That's about all I can muster right now about last night's episode.

I really want to rewatch this episode, as I'm not really sure what my favorite Jensen moment was. I thought both of the boys knocked it out of the park and did a fabulous job.

With that being said, I think my favorite Jensen moment in Sex and Violence was when both he and Sam were under the sirens spell and they were actually being "honest" about each other. There was just something about that that broke my heart, which seems to be a recurring theme this season. *sighs*

So, what did you guys think about the episode? What was your favorite Jensen moment?

I finally got around to downloading my pics from our vacation to Puerto Vallarta and thought I would share ~~a few~~ a lot of my favorites.

This was the view from the balcony of our hotel room:

Even though we flew over mountains on our way, it never occurred to me that we would be seeing them on the beach. Such a beautiful sight:

We thought this was cool when the cruise ship came to port. This was taken from our balcony - the ship looks really close!

This is the market area where we bought a bunch of souvenirs.

We went whale watching one day. This is probably the best picture I got of a whale...if you look close right by the boat, you can see the whale's tail.

These beautiful fishies were by the boat when we stopped from lunch during our whale watching adventure. I kept telling Mr. Ocean to catch one so that I could bring it home. ;)

Huh. I just realized that I really need new Supernatural icons. My ~~obsession~~ fixation with Leverage has taken over my icon list.

Anywho. So. New episode tonight. YAY!!!! What did you guys think? I enjoyed it, although I was expecting more of a monster-of-the-week (i.e. a Trickster or Demon), but it was still good. I do need to rewatch though.

My favorite Jensen moment: It had to be when Sam and Dean were talking about dying and how Sam doesn't want to be doing this when he is old. Our poor boys!!!!!!

Good Morning Everyone!!! I hope everyone enjoyed last night's new episode of Supernatural...I know I did. It was the first time in a long time that I was actually freaked out by the show. I jumped quite a few times and was rewarded with a touching brotherly moment at the end.

Those of you on my flist from TVG are familiar with my Jensen blogs. For those of you NOT familiar with them, I post them after each new episode as a place for us to rave/squee about Jensen's performance. Usually, we each share our favorite "Jensen Moment" from the episode...but it usually digresses to just plain squeeing about him. :D

Alright, so let's get down to business. I actually have two favorite moments from Family Remains, a funny one and a serious one.

My favorite funny Jensen moment: When Dean was crawling down the hole in the wall and kept saying, "Please no one grab my leg, please no one grab my leg." I died laughing.

My favorite serious Jensen moment: It occurs in the beginning of the episode when they were first discussing the case. I loved seeing Sam laying down in the backseat of the Impala and I really liked how he questioned Dean's desire to go on another hunt so soon after finishing one. The thing I loved about this scene was after Sam agrees to go and he flops back down on the seat, there is a look on Jensen's face that is just unforgettable. It conveys his sadness and his concern and it tells us, the viewers, that he is NOT over what happened to him in hell.

Anywho - just a few things I thought I'd share:

1. Look at what my mother-in-law sent to me at work today!!!

It's an Executive Sandbox!!! How fun is that!!! I'm sure I'm not going to get much work done with it sitting on my desk!

2. For those of you interested in participating in the Bones Book Club that I mentioned a couple weeks ago, I've created a community bonesbookclub . Please join it. I will be posting the first entry in the next couple of days.

3. Leverage is on tonight!! YAY!!! I really enjoyed the series premiere on Sunday night. Tonight they are re-airing that at 8 PM CST and then the new episode is on at 9 PM CST.

4. Only 27 days til I go to Mexico!!!!!! I CAN'T WAIT!

After last night's AMAZING episode of NCIS, I'm on a bit of a NCIS-kick. Tana on TVG linked to this article, Five reasons why it's cool to like NCIS , and I thought it was too good not to share. Bones Book Club???

With the release of Bones' Season 3 DVDs, bananabehr and I were discussing doing a rewatch of the Season 3 episodes. I thought it might be fun to fashion this after the wonderful spnbookclub that panns created in order to get us through the various hiatuses we endure during the season.

Basically, what I'm wondering is if anyone is interested in participating. If so, we can pick episodes and assign dates for the reviews to be posted.

Thoughts, comments, questions???

I'm pretty sure that everyone LOVED last night's episode of Supernatural...and while it did entertain me, I just am not getting that feeling for Monster Movie. Maybe it's because we had so many angsty, mythology heavy episodes in a row that I was getting spoiled with those...or maybe it's because I didn't like that it ended up being a shapeshifter AGAIN...or maybe...I don't really know. I just know that I probably won't be including this episode in any "favorite" episode lists.

That being said, there were a few things I DID like: I did enjoy seeing what I like to call Season 1 Dean...even after everything that this guy has been through, it came down to the basics last night - hunting things, saving people, going after the hot chick. I'm also impressed with how this show continues to push the enveloped and be original...and I'm even more impressed that they are able to convince The CW to let them do these types of things. If this show was on a different network, I couldn't see this episode ever being allowed to be made. One last thing that I did like was the very beginning when they at least had a brief conversation about what has been going on with them. I like that there was a mention of what we had been seeing over the last few weeks. I would have been really upset if they hadn't done that...

So anyway, those are some of my thoughts on the episode. I don't always share because everyone else seems to cover it better than I would, but every once in awhile...I just need to get some things out.

1. Oy! Everyone was very busy here overnight. I have over 100 comments in my inbox to get through.

2. I totally ran too much last night. I went 6.5 miles and was very, very sore last night. It hurt to even lay in my bed.

3. I've been trying to deny it and trying not to get too excited - but - OMG SUPERNATURAL IS ON TONIGHT!!!!!!!!1!!111!!!!!!!!! Yes, I am excited but I need to pick up my provisions after work for the big night so I'm stressing about time.

4. Today is going to be a long day at work. My boss is back so I can't be only very much. But I don't have a lot of work to do, so I'm going to sit around twiddling my thumbs all day.

5. Did everyone enjoy Bones last night? I'm not sure about the new assistants that they are trying out - seems like we are going to get a different one every episode, which is going to get old soon. It was heartbreaking when Booth told Brennan that they put Ripley down. I felt so sorry for her.
